The energy transition is moving forward, but it still leaves too many organisations exposed to swings in energy prices. On the occasion of the Brussels Climate Week, RaYSun, CityWatt and the media outlet À Haute Voix invite you to an evening that asks the question head-on: how can energy sharing become a lever for a just transition, whose benefits reach everyone (and not only those who already own solar rooftops)?
This will deliberately not be a showcase panel discussion: we are looking for a genuine exchange, including on the tensions and limits of today's schemes.
On the programme
- 17:00: doors open.
- 17:15: screening of the short film by À Haute Voix, giving the floor to companies that are members of CityWatt about their experience of energy sharing.
- 17:50: opening address by Frederik Ceulemans, Alderman for Climate of the City of Brussels.
- 18:00: panel discussion, an open conversation on the energy vulnerability of Brussels organisations, the barriers to adopting the existing schemes, and what could still change.
- 19:00: informal exchange over a drink.
